I May Be A Failure,
But At Least I Don't Suck

The Facts:
So, I know this girl. This girl knows a director. The girl used to complain about the director. She'd say how he's not all that bright; how he's not particularly talented; how he's kind of annoying; how she used to hang out with him because she kind of felt sorry for him. Then the director's movie was released. It made $31.7 million in it's first weekend and has pulled in $85.7 million to date. Now the director has a two picture deal at a Mini-Major. Now the girl talks to and hangs out with this director all the time. Oh, and she has stopped talking to me.

The Opinion:
I know girls are attracted to power. But does it make a difference when that power is vaporous and unwarranted? Apparently not to this girl*.

*This girl doesn't like being written about (I suspect it's a control thing, but I could be wrong). she claims that I "get things all wrong". Yet she's never shown the balls to correct me. So I must not be that wrong. If she wants to correct me, she knows how to get ahold of me. And should she correct me on this one: I'll run it here (if that's what she wants). And yes, I realize I've now made it so that she'll never talk to me again. But she's already not talking to me. I'm more than a little irritated. But I'm irritated because I think the girl is better than all this.
